Dr Carolyn Jackson-Brown is a senior lecturer at the Centre for Journalism, Leeds Trinity University, and author of Disability, The Media and the Paralympic Games. Following a career in factual broadcast television, starting at the BBC, she now researches representation and meaning-making in the media and teaches critical analysis in journalism, media, and sport.

Leigh Purves works as a journalist and senior lecturer, specialising in Media Law. Leigh is course leader for Broadcast and Digital Journalism at Leeds Trinity University and regularly hosts talks on ‘women in news and media,’ ‘equality’ and ‘the power of PR and the press.
