Celebrate with us the exceptional talent that doesn't disappear when you hit 40! 

Taking Up Space is the brainchild of Amie Burns Walker and Rachael Halliwell (co-creative directors of All Points North Productions) two leading Northern creatives who wanted to ‘walk the walk, not just talk the talk’, and create an opportunity to showcase talent from Women who are over 40. Following a successful call out – Amie and Rachael have commissioned four Women writers with a diverse range of creative and life experiences. Taking Up Space is the inaugural project from All Points North Productions and showcases the extraordinary talents of four actors, three directors and six dramaturgs.

These are four divergent pieces that explore the human condition through a female lens and are funny, sharp, bold and surprising.

There will be the opportunity to help shape these early pieces of writing by giving feedback and the event will conclude with an industry panel/discussion of the showcased work and ageism within the industry and wider world.
