More Information on Piaf

“You don’t have to stay in the gutter just because you were born there…”

Born Edith Gassion in 1915, no one could have predicted Edith Piaf’s phenomenal rise to fame – from singing in the streets of Paris to becoming one of France’s biggest international stars, her voice is still revered to this day. But her extraordinary talent was matched with an equally extraordinary personal life…

Pam Gems’ sensational and emotionally-charged play explores the highs and lows of the enigmatic yet fragile singer’s life and features some of Piaf’s most famous songs, including La Vie en RoseHymne à l’amour and Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien.

Piaf is directed by Adam Penford (An Enemy of the PeopleThe Madness of George IIIWonderland) and stars Tony-nominated and Olivier Award-winning actress Jenna Russell in the title role.

Leeds Playhouse & Nottingham Playhouse co-production

PIAF has been postponed until 2021 and ticket holders have been contacted. We’re working hard to reschedule the dates for a similar time next year and we’ll be back in touch with more information as soon as possible.

We are currently adjusting to our new working environment and dealing with bookings on a show by show basis. We thank you for your patience during this time and ask that you only call our Box Office Team if your enquiry is urgent.
