More Information on Talking Heads – Double Bill – Miss Fozzard Finds Her Feet/A Lady of Letters
Following the television broadcast in June this year, and an up-coming run at the Bridge Theatre, two of Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads monologues will be performed in a double bill at Sheffield Theatres and Leeds Playhouse this November.
Miss Fozzard Finds Her Feet
Performed by Maxine Peake
Directed by Sarah Frankcom
Miss Fozzard has a new chiropodist, Mr. Dunderdale, whose attention to her feet seems sometimes to go beyond the line of duty. Their weekly appointments soon raise the tricky question of who’s treating whom?
A Lady of Letters
Performed by Imelda Staunton
Directed by Jonathan Kent
Irene Ruddock spends her life dashing off letters of complaint. When she’s not writing, she’s keeping an eye on the couple opposite and a little girl with bruises. But when the police come by, it’s Irene whose life is turned upside down.
