More Information on Wendy & Peter Pan
A Leeds Playhouse and Bunkamura production
WENDY & PETER PAN
by Ella Hickson
adapted from the novel by JM Barrie
Come with us to Neverland this Christmas as Wendy takes centre stage at Leeds Playhouse in a magical retelling of the JM Barrie classic Peter Pan.
With Peter Pan, fairy Tink and Tiger Lily as unlikely allies, Wendy gives the Lost Boys a run for their money, takes on the dastardly Captain Hook and ultimately learns what a great adventure life can be.
Packed with theatrical magic, beautiful designs, flying and plenty of laughs, it promises to be an unforgettable journey for all the family.
So it’s second star on the right and straight on to Leeds Playhouse this Christmas.

Why is the age recommendation 7+?
It’s a full-length production (over 2 hours) which can be difficult for young people with a shorter attention span. The play includes death, grief and peril, as well as more general mature themes that might not be totally appropriate for our youngest audiences. However, the age recommendation is just that – a recommendation. You are best placed to make a decision about what is appropriate for your students.
How do I book for a school group?

- Creating Magic (Primary) – Inspired by the themes of the original tale, as well as the Playhouse’s re-imagining, this 2-hour workshop allows students to explore the power of drama to create magic! £180 (+VAT) per group.
- Re-Telling Tales (Secondary) – A 2-hour workshop exploring the process of reimagining stories to be more representative and inclusive. This workshop can be tailored to specific texts on request. £180 (+VAT) per group.
