Opportunities for Yorkshire directors
We want to provide opportunities for Directors born, raised or living in Yorkshire to create a sustainable career here in the region.
To that end, we offer a range of paid Director Residencies so that early career Directors can spend time at the Playhouse as part of the Artistic Planning team. Alongside assisting on Playhouse productions, our Directors work closely with our Creative Engagement Department and have the opportunity to develop their own work.
Every year, we’re also lucky to provide a fantastic placement for one student from the MA in Directing at Birkbeck to enjoy the same range of fantastic opportunities at the Playhouse.
