We Need Your Help This Festive Season!

We’re already gearing up for Christmas here at the Playhouse and this year for the very first time we are planning a Christmas Fundraising Appeal. We’re looking for enthusiastic supporters to join us in collecting donations after all our Christmas performances.

Why Volunteer?

  • Help raise vital funds to support our productions, education programs, and community outreach.
  • Engage with our audiences and spread festive cheer during this special time of year.
  • Meet like-minded people who want to support the Playhouse and the work we do.
  • Be part of the magic that keeps Leeds Playhouse thriving for years to come.

When: We need volunteers for all performances of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and Mr Snow, from 18 November 2024 to 15 January 2025. Whether you can sign up for one show or many more, we’d really like to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:

  • Hold a collection bucket at the auditorium or building exit at the end of each show.
  • Act as an ambassador for the Playhouse and the work we do.
  • Help us raise much-needed funds to support Leeds Playhouse into the future.

Whether you can spare one evening or multiple, your time will make a huge difference!

Interested?

Fill in both the Sign-up Form (‘Application Form’) and the Inclusion and Diversity Form below.

Together, we can make this Christmas truly unforgettable for our audiences and ensure Leeds Playhouse can continue to create world-class theatre and transform people’s lives through the power and vitality of our work long into the future.

“Sometimes you come across powerful snow. Snow that comes along once in a lifetime. You have to wait until you know how to handle it.”

Blessyou lives in a magical icy land with his dashing polar explorer dad and his best friend Beartie. Surrounded by penguins, polar bears and piles and piles of snow, he spends his days fishing (for his favourite fishfingers), dreaming of adventure, avoiding studying for their snow exams, and missing someone very special.

But when his dad brings home a jar of unusual snow – extraordinary things begin to happen.

Join Blessyou on a quest round Penguin Corner, over Polar Bear Hill, through Icicle Valley and out to the Middle of Nowhere, where he ultimately discovers that there’s snow place like home.

Sprinkled with flakes of pure joy and filled with flurries of fun, Mr Snow is an enchanting festive adventure for all the family. You’ll have a (snow)ball!

All performances will be performed in English and British Sign Language. Performances from the 5 Dec will have pre-recorded creative audio description available in collaboration with Hear the Picture.
