Playhouse Youth has lots of brilliant opportunities for children and young people across our two buildings, including at First Floor, Playhouse 2, our dedicated creative space for young people.

Work with outstanding professional artists and qualified youth workers as you develop your creativity, learn new skills, gain qualifications and make new friends in our welcoming and supportive groups and sessions.

Creative Sessions: High Times and Dirty Monsters

Calling Young People Aged 14 – 25: get involved in creative sessions with the company of High Times and Dirty Monsters this half term!

Buzz Creative Arts Course

Mondays and Tuesdays (Term time)

A structured weekly group for young people with learning disabilities, with movement, drama, visual art and sensory sessions.

Buzz Weekend Workshops

Saturdays (Term time)

A weekly creative drop-in for young people aged 14–25 with learning disabilities.

Youth Theatre

Term time

Weekly drama sessions for those aged 8-21, led by outstanding professional artists and support workers.

Young Carers Drop In

First Wednesday of the month (Term time)

Monthly sessions for Young Carers to build skills & confidence through art, music, movement and drama in a fun relaxed environment.

Hearts

Wednesdays (Term time)

Weekly drop-in for young people who are refugees or seeking asylum.

Breeze Arts Foundation

Wednesdays and Thursdays (Term time)

A creative arts course for people aged 16–19 not in education, employment or training.

Middleton Youth Theatre (DAZL)

Tuesdays (Term time)

Leeds Playhouse Youth Theatre on your doorstep, at DAZL Dance Middleton. Ages 7-11.

RJC Playhouse Youth Theatre

Fridays (Term time)

Leeds Playhouse Youth Theatre on your doorstep, at the Mandela Centre in Chapeltown. Ages 9-12.
