WANTED. Be part of Transform 16

If you could make anything happen on stage tonight, what would it be?

Given the time and space and resources, what would you really truly want?

Chris Goode & Company, the makers of 9 and The Albemarle Sketchbook are making a brand new show, and right now, they know nothing about it. It’s a totally blank canvas.

The show will be broken up into three-minute segments, and through the first few months of 2016 they’ll be working with a diverse range of individuals, families, schools, workplaces, community groups and local organisations from across Leeds, each of whom will be taking a lead on developing their own three minutes of content.

Maybe they’ll want to fill the stage with balloons or majorettes. Maybe they’ll want three minutes of slapstick or ballet or bunny racing. Maybe it’ll be stand-up, or a political speech, or just a little oasis of silence.

Whatever they want, it’ll end up in WANTED.

Award-winning director Chris Goode and a team of creatives are going to transform these various peoples’ unpredictable desires into reality, creating a unique and unforgettable show which will be performed for two nights at West Yorkshire Playhouse as part of Transform 16.

We’re looking for individuals of all ages and backgrounds, as well as family and friendship groups, schools, offices and other workplaces, clubs and leisure groups, and socially-engaged organisations in and around Leeds to be part of creating this piece.
