Welcome back to Leeds Playhouse

We can’t wait to welcome you back to the Playhouse. We’ve taken our time to ensure the safety of all our staff, artists and audiences. Following on from our pilot events at the end of September  we will be re-opening for performances from Friday 2 October, but we’ll be taking it steady, one show at a time and you’ll need to book ahead of your visit. Read on for more information about how we can all keep safe as we return to enjoying live performance.

  • Booking your tickets
    • Book your tickets online
    • Can’t book online? Book by phone on Tue – Thurs, 9am – 12noon
    • The building is not currently open for face to face ticket bookings
  • Planning your visit
    • The building will only be open to ticket holders
    • Print tickets at home or show them on your mobile phone
    • a cloakroom service will not be available so please bring limited belongings
  • During your visit
    • Contactless temperature checks will be carried out at the point of arrival
    • Please wear a face covering whilst in the building including at your seat, unless eating or drinking. This is in accordance with theatre guidelines
    • A one-way system will be in place, please follow via signage
    • Please arrive on time, latecomers will not be admitted
    • If you have any symptoms of coronavirus or a high temperature on the day of the show please do not attend and contact us within 24 hours to arrange a credit or refund

    • Limiting contact wherever possible
    • Installing hand sanitiser points for you to use around the building
    • Reducing capacity and installing signage to help you maintain social distancing
    • Implementing socially distanced seating  at 1m+
    • Carrying out enhanced cleaning between performances
    • Maintaining ventilation in the auditorium (It may be a little cooler than usual!)
